you forgot about HALF of what WW2 was. its like building a car and forgetting the transmission, the wheels, and the steering wheel and then declaring, "i know how to build a car, i simply forgot those items." :lmao:
you don't have to be a history professor to understand WW2 and why we needed to be involved in it.
Agreed with Rado... it is going to take a long time, which is why I stress that you shouldn't worry about 5 min miles right now. Focus on running 3-4 miles and increase your pace gradually. And be prepared to drop weight. A lot of weight. There's a reason why middle distance runners and world class cyclists (not sprinters) look the way they do.
Thats it rado... as ya see..its not hard to "pass" I was always in the 290 or above score range after I had been in a couple years. When I first got in I was weak and struggled with Pushups though...Once I got some meat on me it was easy.
For this you may wand to do some research and figure our what distance the Aus army uses for their training benchmarks and then run that at a given speed, say 9 min per mile.
Haha they have an online test and training program which is complete bs. It was tailored to my BMI which aparently I am overweight for. So I need to go in for a bodyfat test. Cant wait to see these fuckers say im overweight.
The training program though is BS. Involves 4 sets of 15 pushups and 30 sit ups. And thats it for a day! Thats not even a warm up!! Im not sure if they tried to tailor it to my 29 BMI or what but its ridiculous. Im going to train as you said gradually increasing distance and speed. But at the same time Im going to train at a 4 day split maintaining weight.
Your overall fitness is going to improve drasticly...
What are you doing in the Army?..Job?
I hope you pulled something good with some cool options for hardcore schools.... not being a cook or some bullshit...
Good luck with it man...cool shit stepping up and serving your country!:thumup::thumup:
but 9 min miles... dude... my old ass will smoke ya...
Starting out as General Service Officer then working my arse of for SAS. Thats where I want to be. Hence my goal of maintaining strength and size whilst being able to do 5min miles.
Fuck a cook man I want the front line shit.
Your old as might smoke me for now but it will never be as striated as mine :hibb::hibb:
