  • What are your fitness goals for 2016?

    Since I have been called out on not talking about fitness enough, I figured I'll make this thread to see what everyone is thinking in terms of fitness goals this year.

    I am continuing to focus on mixing my lifting with outdoor stuff. I don't like to run on the street but definitely do some trail running. In addition, I plan to do a lot of hiking this year, along with snowshoeing and XC skiing through the winter. The goal is to be outdoors hiking 1 hour every day. I live 10 minutes from the largest urban wilderness in North America, so getting into the woods is no problem. I have being doing more and more of this as my sons grow up and I want to spend more time in the outdoors with them.

    Of course, all this will be on top of a lifting base. I plan to lift 3-4 days a week, probably doing a push/pull protocol. I will start a fitness log as well so everyone can see what I am up to. :)

    Definitely to put on size. I'll still get lean for summer but I've increased doses and been eating more cals. I'd like to be a shredded 225 instead of the 12ish bf% 225 that I am now.

          Probably baby about 245. In 2013 I got to 257 @ just under 11%.

            Any reason why you don't wanna be as big as you were? Didn't feel good or what?

            238-240 @ 10% should be pretty easy for ya.

              No specific goals here, basically same plan as B, to put on some more size. Going to have to start putting away more food to make that happen though.

                More size. I'd like to hover around 195-200 while off cycle and less than 14% body fat so I still have a way to go.

                More importantly I want to gain some more strength. I've regressed quite a bit in strength and I wasn't that strong to begin with. When I came off cycle in August I also switched up my training to strong lifts 5x5 and ignored all accessory work. Total regression in every way for size and strength other than squats so I've started my new program and jumped back on cycle.

                I also want to do more hiking/backpacking this year. Last year I didn't get out at all and I really want to this year bad. Working on setting up a backpacking trip now to hit a section of the Sheltowee Trace Trail. The idea is to do a piece at a time until I do it all. Hopefully that pans out.

                  I'm going to do something similar with the John Muir Trail. Sure beats a treadmill.

                      Yea that's what life is about IMO. I feel free and mentally clear when I am out in nature. All the tension inside just floats away. That is my kind of meditation.

                            Life balance as its alot to feed and maintain and also just felt cumbersome. Also snored bad that heavy
