About five months and even now I'm just doing cardio and mobility stuff a couple times a week. I've had the odd chest session here or there but nothing to really induce hypertrophy

It's all still there tbh just flat

Do you find that you're more insecure not being at your best? I ask because that's how I feel whenever I'm not operating at 100%.

No because I have a focus, getting better, it's more a case of having something to go after for me. As long as I feel like I'm achieving

Gonna do HIT cardio again today but this time test the lower back mildly by using the rowing machine first before moving on to other cardio equipment.

The logic here is to gently engage the lower back and core and open up the blood flow over a sustained period down there.

With each gentle stroke it will stretch the vertebrea a little and close them in again. Very gentle but sustained.

Mr I. Look into foundation training for your back pain.

Except my left knee and shin are killing me, but I think that's just the switch in activity

Cardio is definitely a healer at this ppint as it uses all the small muscles that balance you in harmony.

Not sure if 0.01% is a cause for paranoia or concern.

Thanks, I just found out shin splint and drop foot can be a further symptom of disk prolapse.

I guess where tge pain in the back subsided there are other symptoms becoming more evident.

                    It's a long road

Mr I your saying the pain you were dealing with is gone but it has moved to a different spot? Or you still dealing with the other pain as well?

The pain in my lower central back is virtually gone. But I am still on meds because I now have crazy night pains in my left shin.

I also have almost complete drop foot so I cannot engage dorsoflexion.

I basically can't walk properly I have to lift my left knee higher to counter tge fact.

Getting pains in left knee and foot too.

I'm actually laughing as I'm typing this because I don't know what the fuck is going on

The drop foot may be due to the shin splint caused by going too hard on the cardio too quick after a long while out. Or it could be nerve damage

I'm seeing the orthopedic surgeon in ten minutes and will probably request another cortisone just to see it off.

But the good thing us I'm in far far less pain generally it's almost normal.

Now they also found a tumor in my vertebrea but that shit can wait.

One thing at a time lol

I'm still very confident all will be ok in the end

Sucks bro, just stay positive as hard as that may be sometimes. Feeling bad for yourself like many do gets us nowhere. Just know that it will get fixed at some point. Regardless of what needs to be done, it will get fixed.

One thing I will say is just be careful with some of the home remedy type things your doing. I have no idea but maybe there is some small chance that some kind of movement or stretch or inversion your doing could possibly be agitating the nerve. I have no idea one way or the other, just be careful.

                            Yeah thanks

I don't invert anymore, I'm in less pain, a lot less pain. Hopefully the foot thing is just a temporary reaction to the cardio but they're sending me for a repeat MRI just to check.

                              1) my back feels vastly improved in of itself and I simply feel like I want to be more active. Will mild pain meds I feel virtually no pain during the day and only need a bit if tramadol during the night.

                              2) I have drop foot left side and this is now seemingly the final hurdle. If an MRI reveals the drop foot is due to further nerve compression then I may after all need a micro diskectomy, if not they may give me another steroid cortisone inj and the drop foot may improve anyway

I feel so close to fully rehabbing but for the drop foot tha occurred three days ago. Coincidentally this only happened after two hard cardio sessions on a body that had been otherwise relatively sedentary for six months.

We push on but I now need to resume consistent but light training just for my morale

So now all that really remains outstanding is this drop foot syndrome. I don't give up easy and love gadgets so to prevent atrophy of the muscle pending return of nerve function I've hooked up a tens electronic stimulus machine.
