The last night in hospital they brought this guy in opposite. The cunt snored like a fucken moose lol, I had a pillow over my head trying to get peace. I must have drifted off eventually. This morning we got talking and the guy says "fuck me mate you fucking snored all night o couldn't get any sleep "
I think the executive summary of this long rambling blog thread is that if you get a herniated or prolapsed disk, by all means try conservative treatment but please don't be put off by surgery because at this point I would say it's changed my quality of life completely. I am in no pain and need very few drugs now so I'm very happy and if in some way this helps othets then all the better.
That's a difficult one. Normally they say six weeks for a herniation type deal to heal. Where mine was surgically sliced and picked I'd say the same but don't forget they would have blobbed some prednisone (steroid) on the site to give immediate anti inflamatory too. I think it's 3 to six months for a full heal.
In the mean time it's walking, some swimming and in a week or so some isolated gym work very light maybe.
Three months before proper gym stuff and even then no bent rows, deads, squats, stood curls. All supper controlled and not even forced reps.
You have to remember though I've been lifting since 12 years old and im 39 now. So having time away doesn't affect the long term. This is me now, no pronounced bulging muscle but no tub of lard either and still a reasonable strong build at about 235lb

Last shot probably 10 days ago, yeah just TrT. At the end of the day they've had to cut through back muscle so it pays to eat well and encourage recovery

as funny as that would probably be, i can't say I would want to see him go through that. a lot of you guys here seem to be "okay" with coming off and dealing with all that comes with that. not mr.i. he's similar to me in that regard. i've seen the up and down roller coaster on here that he goes through. certain fellas are too high strung to deal with feeling beta.
