I think its too late. Sorry but that's just how some things go. Is it losing her that upsets you? Are you scared of not having that comfortable person around when you need her? I think it would be good for her to move on and get what she deserves. If you really want her to be happy you have to think about what her needs and wants are. If those things are something that you can give her without thinking twice then fight for her but you had 3 years to do it and the damage is done. Hope it goes well anyway.

Well I read to the first half of the second page and then put in my two cents. I mess up but I still stand by my statement though. I know they are back together but I just don't see it sticking. There are bigger issues here. I think it is great that he realized what he did. I think she is selling her self short for wasting 3 years of her life waiting but maybe they are meant for each other who knows. I do wish them the best though. :)

Excuse me if I sound a little harsh, but sometimes the truth hurts. It sounds to me like you just showed up again at the right time when she was about to make up her mind. You have flowers, and it made her feel bad for wanting to end it right then so now this would be the 4th occasion where she's not been able to go through with it. Guess what? It's because you won't let her do it. Good luck Diplomat, but I have to agree with lissao that the issue is deeper than this. You are only skating by on flowers, and I bet she'll be changing her mind before they wilt. Remember this little piece of advice: Whenever you beg or force a relationship onto a woman....they ultimately lose respect for you, and will wind up in the arms of another man who will give them what you haven't. Ask yourself this question: IF you hadn't showed up at her job with flowers being all apologetic, and crap would she have came over to your house to end it? Yes. If you would have just sat there, and let her express her feelings and wishes instead of begging her forgiveness, and telling her how much you loved her....would she had ended it? Yes. That is probably why she wanted to leave a note, so she wouldn't have to see you begging, and crying like a little girl. IMHO....she feels sorry for you, and this is why she continues to keep the relationship (if that's what you want to call it) alive. It's obvious her "guy friend" whom is living with her (you're not) is giving her what you didn't, but she feels so sorry for you that she can't stand to hurt you. Stand up, grab your nuts to make sure they're still there and move on bro......she did.

Leave it alone, (this goes for both of you). Diplomats made some mistakes and he it trying to better himself for it. She's a big girl and can make her own decissions. How would you feel if you just found out your wife was having an affair, then people started telling you"Well if you weren't such a bad husband this never would have happened. Get your act together and maybe the next woman won't think you're so pathetic". Diplomats was asking for advice on ways to talk to her and show her how her feels. Not for you to anylize the mistakes he made, and make her sound desperate and lost.

If you're at all lucky, you've hit a point in a relationship in which you realized you hadn't done everything you should for your woman. Acting on that realization doesn't make you a pussy. It just reminds you of what's important.

If your woman means that much to you, D, keep at it.

I read your thread from the very beginning and I'm very happy for you! Good luck in your relationship.

Shibby--you are an incredible person. You took the time to respond to everyone of D's pleas. You have a very kind heart.
