Looking good brother! How are the legs coming in? Do you see them leaning out? I know in the past I would do partials on the leg press. A lot of weight do it at a fast pace. Seemed to bring everything in the upper leg / hip flexor area for me. Hang in there bro only a couple weeks to go. What class will you be in? Are they doing it by weight or by height?

Thanks bro - I was beginning to wonder if I looked that bad since no one was giving me advice etc :D...
I'm trying some new things for legs and leaving everything else the same - I've started trying to draw out the water in my legs so I could just be noticing changes because I "think" they're happening - I will try to post new pictures this weekend....
I should come in to the first show at 187 to make the novice middleweight class and then shoot back up to 198ish to make the top of the light-heavy classes in the following shows (I just don't see 176 happening ya know)?

Na man, you look like you are right on track.
You really think jumping up 11 pounds is a good thing? For me personally I would look to smooth if I went up 11 pounds in a couple weeks.

How tall are you brother?
I'm really struggling with making the 187 - I'm still right around 200 with two weeks left - I don't see 198 causing problems but I can assure you my main goal after the first show is condition - not weight since I'm pretty much stuck in the 177-198 class no matter what...

Two weeks to shed 13lbs and you're pretty dry already? Think you can do it man? Good luck to ya.

Not exactly dry bro - scroll up...
I'm gonna give it a shot though - I respond to carb depletion like a mofo - once my carbs are gone I look flat as fuck within a day or two and my weight drops a ton (even in a typical carb cycle diet) - I've planned 6 days of depletion and 3 days of carbing up once the water's on its way out - I lost 11 pounds in the last 3 days last year so I've got my fingers crossed...
Bloody f'in hell - I haven't weighed all week - my legs are looking drier/leaner in the early mornings (before blood/water builds up in them etc) BUT today I stepped on the scale with an empty stomach and I'll be damned if I wasn't sitting at 207 - WTF...
Looks like I'm either going to end up carb depleting for the next 10 days or I'm just going to have to compete in the Novice HeavyWeight class - either option is NOT cool....
The worst part is that I was/am really starting to like what has been looking back at me in the mirror and if I deplete too much I could ruin it but I can't hang in the heavy class at this point either
If you like the way you look and you are and your bf is as low as it needs to be... who cares what your weight is. A lot of shows do it be height classes. My last show I was competing against guys that outweighed me by 25 pounds. But guess what, they didn’t come in as hard as me and that is why I beat them. Sounds like you are looking good brother. Screw the scale and go by the mirror. It’s almost show time baby!!!

I know - I've just been SO stress free throughout this entire process and now that I'm two weeks out I'm struggling - I know if I come in lean/dry etc that I can do well BUT this first show is BIG (my novice class last year had over 30 competitors and the total show came out to over 150 male bb's) - as of right now if I come in at the very bottom of the heavyweight class I'll just be another fish in a big sea of sharks...
Thanks bro - I made it clear that I hate my legs right now - I have just started implementing some serious drop sets/high rep rotations into my leg days and switched to the bike for cardio...
Like I said before - I couldn't be much happier with the way my upper body is coming along - I've just got to bust my ass on legs from here on out as they look like ass (I'm just trying not to lose size at the same time)....
do them twice a week bro - i do them on sundays and wed - full balls out leg workouts -- stay away from the high rep low weight bullshit - only eats muscle !!!!!! i see to many guys go from heavy weights to lighter weights and high reps and watch them shrink --
i will do 5 sets of 20 on extensions true but with the stack i go as heavy as i possibly can living on 74 grams of carbs ed
dont stop what got you there !!! i train as heavy as possible right up to the thursday before the show - will end leg sessions the sunday before the shows
bike is a good choice for cardio - will spare leg size - my legs get huge in the offseason - soon as i start cardio getting ready for a show they fucking shrink on me - doing them twice a week has helped -
will be doing full time cardio in the mornings in the offseason for now on aswell - my goal is to climb up to 280 lbs but keep some type of abs -- its heart healthy aswell -

stop focusing on the weight !!!!! just focus on the mirror - got caught up in that bullshit my last 2 shows -- i check weight once aweek just to satisfy my curiosity -- i dont use it as a measuring stick anymore though

I've got 7 weeks until all of my shows are over - I started training legs twice a week on the wed/sun routine this week and will continue on this plan until it's over...
The bike eats up my legs - what's your take on the inclined treadmill route?

I'm trying bro - I just don't want to come in 2-3 pounds over the cutoff when I could be at the top of my class instead of dead bottom - just gotta keep my mind off of it I suppose - again - thanks...
I'd also like to hear what house has to say about incline treadmill work. I usually do this 3 times a week. I do a mid to fast pace walk and squeeze my glutes with every step. I feel this has really helped retain as much muscle as possible.
