Good point pigmeat! I stated earlier that I don't believe in preferential treatment given to homosexuals or any minority group for that matter. That just breeds other problems. However, if he had done his research before making that comment, he would have found that there are only a couple of schools set up to assist gay people in dealing mainly with the social pressures of growing up gay. Just as there are special schools for people with learning disabilities or handicap people. They are not exclusively schools for homosexuals, as heterosextuals are entitled to attend them as well.
I just can't tolerate blatantly hateful comments that have been shown on this thread toward an entire group of people because they happen to be different. Sure, there are some people that represent extremist sides of every group, but to take a whole group of people and lump them together and label them all worthless is just plain ignorant.

You know I think it is important hear to mention that subjects like this one inspire a lot of emotion out of people. The wonderful thing about message boards is that people can voice there opinions on things regardless of how different they can be from the next person. Granted some people have gotten a little mean but never the less it is there opinion. Though I am not anti religion I certainly have very strong opinions on it I don’t really expect people to see things my way. I don’t believe threatening people with banding them from the group is helpful, It just closes there voice an probably stops other people from speaking there mind. There bottom line is if you can’t handle the subject and are easily offended then you really shouldn't participate. Just because a person gets a little out of hand on a subject like this doesn’t mean they can’t contribute a great deal somewhere else on the board. I think from time to time we all forget and disrespect opinions now and then.

Timber, I am not offended in the least as it takes quite alot to offend me. As a mod it's my job to uphold the policies governing this forum. I agree, people are entitled to their opinions, but if they aren't going to be positive and may offend a particular group of people, then they are not welcome on this forum. You need to reread the rules as well. Either add something positive to a thread about a particular topic or do not click on it at all. Simple as that. The title of this thread has the word 'homosexual' in it. So I doubt any of these fools just accidently clicked on it.

Just because someone is gay doesn't mean they are any less of a human being, I may not agree with the lifestyle but who am I to tell someone how to live their life? I had a very close cousin of mine who was gay who passed on a few years back, we grew up together and we were like brothers, I knew he was different from a very young age but i never judged him or looked down on him, I just wish he was still around because our family misses him very much....:(
