      • You are perfectly entitled to your opinion telephone, but keep in mind that the way you choose your words to express it may offend others. Peace, and I hope you continue to enjoy what this board has to offer, brotha!! ;)

I had a very close cousin of mine who was gay who passed on a few years back, we grew up together and we were like brothers, I knew he was different from a very young age but i never judged him or looked down on him, I just wish he was still around because our family misses him very much....:(
Sorry to hear of your loss, BD!! :(

                  • You only have one tour on the big blue marble. Embrace the lifestyle that makes you happiest and run with it (as long as no one else is harmed).

                      • I thought I'd chime in...

I do not mind gay people, and I am not a hypocrite. There are people who say, "I dont like gay men" but they "love lesbians' I even saw it in this thread hehehe But if it REALLY is about GOD and religion, then people are being hypocritical. If it has nothing to do with god, then its just a personal opinion. But for some religious people to come and say that they hate gay men but love lesbians, is totally wrong, and it still looked down upon by their god, so to speak.
But in all honesty, as Timber said, people are born that way. I was born bisexual, not just like some people who do it because they think its "cool" (Britney/Madonna cause some crap with kids in grammar schools- little girls charging boys to see them kiss) etc
I like men, and I like women, and that is that. Do I go around telling everyone? No...I dont feel the need to. ('except in this thread where its relevant, or when I tell Doom hehehe)

I dont understand why people would get bent out of shape if someone puts a sticker on their car. ??? I mean it doesnt bother me, but again these are everyone else's opinions.

                        • Sexuality is not a matter of intent, action, nor ultimate aim, but instead is defined by one's physiological response to a sexual stimulus.

Also, to add to what Lexi said:
I remember being 12 years old and being very attracted some girls changing next to me in the locker room. I felt embarassed about it and tried desperately to avert my eyes - which wanted very badly to stare. I was really ashamed because any kind of homosexuality was at the time and in that environment totally unacceptable. (Now of course, it's a whole other story. )

                          • I understand what you're talking about, Veggi.

Actually, my first sexual attraction was to women. From a very young age (2nd grade) I remember loving to look at Playboy magazines and other mags. But of course I never knew that girls did anything together back then. My first experience with a girl was when I was a Junior in high school. I'd already been with a guy but when this girl came on to me I just went with it and loved it. But I was embarrassed to tell anyone about it. The only person I told for many years after that was my husband when we were dating about a year after the experience and then we didn't talk about it after that so I still felt embarrassed. Gotta remember, this was in the early 80's and things were so different then. I'm very thankful that people's sexuality (straight, lez, gay, bi) is becoming more accepted by all different walks of life.

To add to MrsP and Veggi...
Its true, I was attracted to girls from VERY young. Actually my FIRST EVER was VERYYYYY young.
We used to look at playboys too (that we found in my friends brothers mattress) and we would watch porn too, telling my mom we were gonna watch Dumbo and have a secret meeting in my room because we had a girls club. LOL

But even when I was in school, I too felt strange, and liked a few of the girls, but thought I was weird.

                                :)
I dont feel weird now, though :woot:
