I'm not a very big fan of organized religion either. I believe there is a God, but I don't believe much of the bible. Hey, it's a heck of a book...one of the best ever written for action, drama, ect....but too much of it has been debunked for me to put any stock in it. If you are wondering how to act in life, don't look for the answer in a book; 9/10 times, your concience will tell you what's right and what's wrong. Choose to listen to it, and you'll be a pretty damn good person.

[QUOTE] something that you truly dont know exists? QUOTE]
That's why it's called faith. You're right. Nobody really knows for sure what happens when we die. This has been the crux of arguments/wars for years. Some will see it my way. Some will see it your way. But, because of faith (and forgiveness) we may both end up in the same place when it's all over.

First, whoever said I was straight?Whats wrong with being proud of who you are??? Just because you are straight doesn't mean that is the "right" way !! I am bi-sexual and proud of it. I too, have thought of putting a rainbow sticker on my car because I am proud of the fact that I am openminded and love life and enjoy all that it has to offer. I think everybody should be able to live their life the way they want to and not have to worry about closeminded comments like this...
Second, I am a liberal--far from closeminded. If you re-read the quote you used, I said it was simple curiosity that caused me to ask the question, nothing more. Nothing was said about 'right' or 'wrong'.
Third, I'm glad you're proud of who you are. We all should be.

The Old Testament consists of books written over two thousand years ago. I'm assuming it all made since to people two thousand years ago when slavery was cool, sacrifices were kosher, selling daughters were the norm, and cutting hair was bad. Then the NT comes out, which centers around the gospels of M,M,L, and J. They didn't actually write them, they passed the stories on by word of mouth. They were actually penned three hundred years later. By the way, there aren't a lot of Matthew's, Mark's, Luke's, or John's hanging around in Jeruselum. Those are European names. Alas, I digress. I can tell person A a story and by the time person C hears it, the story has deviated slightly. Imagine what the story would be like by the time
person ZZZZZZZZZZZZ hears it. Well, we know what that person heard, because they wrote the NT. With each new step in technology and ethics, we further ourselves from the "teachings". Our hope for immortality is religions only "prayer" for survival.

Fantastic post, Muddy!
That pretty much sums up the way I think. Since I don't really have faith in an afterlife, I don't have any need or desire for religion.Originally posted by muddy

Kyan from that show is one of my friends, babe!! He is from New Orleans and we use to work together in a restaurant. He's a cool guy and I'm glad he moved to New York and made it big with the show. The reason's why he moved are somewhat bizzare, but they turned out to be very favorable for him and his career in show business. He left New Orleans because some friends of ours were murdered in the restaurant by robbers early one morning before it opened. I was working at another location, but Kyan worked at that location and just happened to be off that day. Three of his close friends were shot directly in the head and stuffed in the cooler. He had gone through so much counceling and was hooked on anti-depressants for a while and when he finally got his shit together, he decided he wanted to start a new life in New York and now his life has changed and he is basically a major celebrity. A very strange twist, don't you think?Originally posted by MrsPuddlesFL

Cory...he hates to shop for clothes, shoes, etc. but he enjoys watching the show. If those guys did their show from FL I'd definitely be trying to contact them. I know Stromba would enjoy it...those guys are a riot! He also doesn't like to get his hair cut so I always wind up doing it for him but he could really use a professional cut. So, yeah, he could use a little help. :D

Hey now !!!
I need less help then ANY one I have seen on that show.
j/k
You do a fantastic job with yourself but you never want to shop for clothes! Last time you needed some new pants it was like pulling teeth to get you into a store! Once I got you there though, you behaved and we got some good stuff for ya.
I just think you'd have fun shopping and stuff with those guys. :)
