It was great!
the best workouts come from gyms like that. it brings out the warrior!

I've been away from that for about a year and miss it. My membership is up soon at the rec center I'm at and I'm going back to where I got my start

You drive a 70k dollar vehicle which you park a block away, lived in an elite community, drink sparkling water, and you said you love LA. The evidence makes this hard to believe. You just don't seem like the person that would go "slumming".

            .
We can only know of you what you present to us. Here is how I see it. You seem like a sinceer guy and would help people in a jam. But you seek some sort of acceptance and to be held in some sort of higher standard. If you want to see it from the other end of the spectrum... Just about everything I own is hand-me down. I only make about $900/mth and have a family to support. My wage is pretty good for the small town I live in. I live in a small two bedroom apartment. But I don't talk a lot about how little I have because I have exactly what makes me happy. May sound cheesy... Now I could be happy living this way for the rest of my life and my happiness is unique to me. So there is no reason for me to have it validated by others or expect others to see it my way. So I have no need to talk about these things much.

meanwhile, rado is at LA fitness with his white gloves on, bottle of evian water, cologne, video ipod, and all the while talking on his ear piece bluetooth cell phone. while he is doing this, he is riding on his stationary bike while reading the entertainment section of the miami herald..

all along he is glancing out the window, making sure nobody dings his SUV, and if someone does, he is ready because he has his digital camera handy to take a picture..
by what he posts this is the guy that i picture rado to be ...to a tee.... :laughnew:

I havent been around here long so I might be way off here but I think you guys get a little too serious sometimes. I personally read this sight for info motivation and a laugh or two. I like it around here because everybody seems like theyre good people who want to help eachother, well that and its fun to laugh at bouncer and rado.

just to add, honestly Shib, I wish my attitude was closer to yours.

Rado, we all know you are a good guy. I would have banned your ass a LONG time ago If I didnt know that you were a good guy. You do have a way about you on the board that makes you come off as a real snob sometimes though. You will usually say something and I will think to myself, "this guy is a real asshole". but then you will do something and the guy that I know you are comes out and I think to myself, "he is a good guy and means no harm." i just wish you would be the rado that we all like all of the time instead of the asshat rado that we hate.

I'm not talking about when you post about your adventures. It's the way you make you posts a lot of times. We all know you got a new car and that's great for you. No reason to dislike you for that or think ill of you. But in that thread it was made quite clear the value of it. But it's in other posts when you throw in the price of you car again and again. Then you will talk about how much you spent at this place and that place, when it dosn't add anything to your post but another "name drop". Kind of like if you were to go stay in the Trump tower. Now we all know that's damn expensive just saying that in itself. But then you would say how much the room costs and how much you paid in room service etc. Now this stuff individually isn't why it comes off as so arrogant. If anyone else made a post like that it wouldn't be thought much of. But it's how often you do it, espeacially when it adds no further detail other than to state how well off you are. Again this is not to tear you down. I think you are a stand up guy. But this is why you come off as a guy that you do not intend to be.

Never was a smoker, didn't like it :). But I do read a lot more of everything than most. So I see it also like Bouncer describe.
