You go to school and try to learn, you get shot. You go to the gym, study your body, learn how to train, you get shot. You fuckin smoke 3 packs a day and somehow you live to be 90.... sometimes life is just so fucking unfair, this shit makes me furious everytime and ditto to your comment rocket, call it paranoia but I live around boston and I honestly said fuck the laws for 3-4 years just for safety, I had no time to wait around for my "right to bear arms".. now I shoot at the range regularly and am working on getting my license to conceal, but I stockpiled hollow points cuz you can't get them or explosive rounds in MA period.

First off, we don't have the right to bear arms. People who quote the Constitution inaccurately are as bad as ignorant Christians who quote pieces of biblical stories. We, American citizens, have the right to a A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

If anyone bothered to read the writings of politicians who ratified this amendment, they would realize that the purpose of the second amendment is not for American to have the ability to conceal carry, or anything like that. State militias, back in the 1790's, were means of NATIONAL DEFENSE! Anyone that tells you different is an idiot. The concept behind the 2nd amendment is one of, "to keep ourselves safe from national threats / community threats, there shall be no right of the government to take/regulate weapons of a 'national guard' unit. It was not meant for gun happy morons who feel the need to have a weapon to keep themselves safe, but inevitably hurt someone with them because they are not trained properly to handle something that powerfully.

Not to mention, most Americans don't have the mental maturity to handle a weapon of that type. My thread about the dick that asked me to move benches comes to mind. Great real example comes from my cousin, the marine, who was decorated multiple times for his leadership in Iraq. Many of his Marines, while in the field, would not know how to react when under fire. They would instantly react by simply shooting. Okay, these are professional military personnel who have undergone tons of training. Basic instinct is to shoot. What he did was wait until they see where the shooting come from and fire there. Its not hard to do that, but I don't believe any gun totting retard would think about that.

^^ I do agree w/that Chris, and I would like to add that I had (expired) a legal license in FL where it was much easier to get and that I know how fragile life is and would much rather never see anyone own a gun, but sadly that's not a reality in my life, so I have taken the steps to legally obtain what I believe is needed for safety and have turned two guns in the past year to gun drives .. I have no bloodlust for a thrill... that shit sickens me, life is entirely too precious to be wasted in a blink of an eye.

I think if you go back far enough you would be amazed at what the constitution says and does not say, and even more so what our founding fathers meant by what they wrote. I am all for guns in the sense that they are needed, and the very fact that they were needed back when it was written just shows that blood just creates more blood, it's fucked up but I'm with you on owning weapons and I will not let one law affect how I feel about my safety, period.

Nothing like that happened during the tragedy @ v-tech ... that dude posted MOVIES of himself all strapped up, always was blogging about killing people. I never heard of one person being prosecuted for not stepping in (which doesn't mean they shouldn't have obv) . If you ever watch "untraceable" that very concept arises, in the movie the killings are done in order of website hits to killwithme.com - they make a public address that any and all who go to this site are accessories to his crimes. The bottom line is their is way to much internet crime to go after these people in real life unless it's to make an example of some1.
