respect his view - tons of people bash the bible and religion, one person stands up for his faith and I know he'll get shit on.

I like Judaism because I've dated Jews, lived in S.FL which broward county is one of the biggest counties for jews...Judaism certainly to me was interesting, I like the fact of having Christmas for 7 days:P

I can tell exactly the type of people that Godson and Mr.I are. They love to talk about their faith being the best, yet they have never read their book straight from front to back. They are convinced their faith is the right one, but know pretty much shit about other faiths. Blind faith is easy but but nothing more than a product of where you were born.

Well put Shibby. Gods Son speaks of Jesus and God as if has met them, but yet hasn't. Now I understand people have their beliefs, but I am one that needs proof or even theories behind everything. DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons were great books to read as it shed light on both sides.Originally posted by Shibby View PostI can tell exactly the type of people that Godson and Mr.I are. But my main thing is how can people believe in something that they have no proof of nor have met any of the people or spoke of them. It's the same with aliens. How do we know for sure they are out there? Sure there is more supposed proof and supporting evidence to this fact than Jesus and God. I am one who needs concrete evidence or need to see it for myself. I am a huge skeptic.
But for Shibby's and B's arguments, there is proof and concrete evidence. Scientists study these things daily and are finding things all of the time that support how the world was created.

I believe in the Bible. But I don’t go around forcing it down people’s throats. It’s my belief. I don’t look down on anyone for what or who they believe in. Something very interesting that was pointed out to me a couple years ago. It is from a book called “more than a carpenter”.
... it occurs that the chance for anyone of all the people that lived up to the present moment to fulfill all eight prophecies is as 1:100 000 000 000 000 000. To help us imagine how big this number is, Stoner gives the following picture: Let’s suppose that we took 1:1017 of silver one-dollar coins and we put them on the ground of the Texas state. [The area of Texas is over twice as big as that area of Poland.] They would cover the entire state with layer 60 cm thick. Now mark one of those coins and stir this entire mass on the surface of the whole state. Blindfold somebody and allow him or her to go as far as they like, but they have to pick up the one-dollar coin, exactly the one you’ve marked. What’s the probability of picking the marked coin? The same as fulfilling all eight prophecies in any single person from the time they’ve been written down to the present day. (…) Now either the prophecies were inspired by God or the prophets wrote according to their own estimation. In the latter case, they only had one chance at 1:1017 for their prophecies to be fulfilled in a single person. However they were all fulfilled in a concrete time and place in the person of Christ. This means that the fulfillment of even just these eight prophecies at once is o proof that they were inspired by God, a proof so expressive that mathematically speaking it takes only one chance at 1:1017 for it to be absolute…

Love is very easy to explain, there is a part of the brain responsible for emotion and love. Take that part of the brain away and you will love nothing. There is no such thing as a "spirit". A "spirit" is as laughable as saying "science cannot explain the tooth fairy."Originally posted by Mr incredible View PostYour science falls well short B, explains nothing really, like how the world begun, you love Sana but that can't be explained by science neither, its spiritual
As for how the earth was formed.. science explains that very well actually..
Educate yourself below...
History of the Earth - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
To sum it up because you are probably not smart enough to understand any of that "science stuff".. The earth and all the planets in our solar system were created by a combination of huge amounts of spinning material and matter + gravity + time (billions of years).
Planets and suns are being born every single day in space by these exact same processes.
You are talking about a laughable religion that goes back a few thousand years. I am talking about process that go back BILLIONS of years. Please bro, smack yourself for being such a gullible follower...Last edited by Bouncer; 08-20-10, 09:14 AM.
