I agree. Little too long maybe a touch slow but that's nit picking.

The actor that played the interrogator/ torturer in the opening scenes was perfect for the part. His beady eyes captured the sinister character it would take to fill those shoes. I couldn't imagine doing that as a "profession".

After seeing how fucked up some of my friends are from multiple tours in the sand box. I'm certain there is no off switch. Maybe a 'pause button' but it eventually times out and you have to deal with it.

          • The Croods 3D - Cute little movie. Decent story and likable characters. Movie is paced well and not to long. 3D effects arent over done but subtle and pleasing to the eye. Solid B

            • Evil Dead.

It was average at best, I probably went in expecting too much though.

I thought this was going to be the one that might redeem years of shit horror films. I was wrong, original was better.

Sorry, no real scares at all, and nothing new in the gore department.

                    Too bad really.

                      • Oblivion - Decent sci-fi/post apocalyptic movie with a decent love story thrown into the mix. Does a good job of pulling you into its world. Little long in the middle, could have used a 20 minute trim.

                        • Life of Pi - Kept hearing how good this was so I downloaded it. Way to long for my taste. Kid was at sea way to fucken long, they could have sped that shit up a bit. Decent acting and pretty cool visuals. The last 15 minutes pulled the movie together better then expected.

                          • The Great Gatsby - I think I was expecting something different from the movie, based off the previews, and it was a little too long. I really liked Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby, though. I'd give it a B-.

I was hoping for more from the movie. Feel like it could have been great but they missed the mark.

Jay was such a cool cat until she came around. The clock scene. :whistle:hang:

C for me. Saved only by DiCaprio.

Jay showing his vulnerability = :swoon:

I liked the era, the clothing, the parties, the houses, etc - and the soundtrack. It did let me down, though.
