  • I didn't like the new star wars game...it's going to be hard for most games to put an impression on me. Destiny set the bar for me since it's my first online shooting game. When I started playing fps games, online playing wasn't what it is now. Can't wait for Dec 1st for my Clancy to load....gonna be epic

    • rado prepare yourself bro, if you like the style of destiny then you will also be disappointed with the clancy games. They are much more strategic and slow paced. You step out of cover you die instantly 1 shot. It's a more realistic type shooter where you have to plan and think ahead. just keep an open mind and try not to compare.

its like driving an SUV for years and than buying a car. there will be a ton of things that your not used to and liked better about the SUV but the car has it's own advantages and you just have to adjust.

      • Shut up with the car analogy already.

I know it's a different game, geez man...when I say compare, I mean in terms of overall gaming experience. Clancy makes near perfect games and they always have great reviews. Star Wars is just too easy for me it seems and boring, graphics are pretty good....

        • Gaming experience yes. When was the last time you played Clancy bro? Not arguing here, seriously just trying to prepare you not to be disappointed for what you expect a game will be.

I played the last one on PS3. Listen, you literally took my post and ran with it....like literally....I know it will not disappoint me, I know the game, the platform, etc...just because I love destiny, the layout, game play, etc....does not mean another game needs to be exact; not true.

$90 isn't going to break my wallet, or many others as well....if I don't happen to like it, I will sell it....I highly doubt it bro, I highly doubt it...but thanks for the concern nigg:wave::grin:

Had I not told you about metal gear, you'd say the same...but I also love that game. I'm just not a person who buys multiple games at once.

Just because I don't own the game, doesn't mean I haven't. But that's not the point so stfu already. Your idiot self said I'm not going to like Clancy....now let it be and move on already.

                    • Ok, I've had fallout 4 for two weeks now and I suppose it's time for an honest review and I'll try to keep it short as possible.

I have about 50 hours of gameplay in it so far and I will say it took about 20 before I started to get into it. They have made some changes from previous Fallout's that took getting used to. I will say even being a Fallout player there was a check of a learning curve. Game could use more tutorial.

First let's get the known gripes out of the way.
Graphics: The character models suck big time no doubt about it, however the environment looks really good. Good textures and decent lighting. Colors are a bit washed but if we are comparing it to the previous fallout games it is all a noticeable step up. Still nothing like other modern games but not last gen by any means.

Bugs: Nothing game breaking. I have seen a few times with the frame rate drops a tad and two times into the single digits they are talking about but 95% of the time it is smooth. Oddball bugs on rare occasion like raising hands with no gun or looking like holding a rifle like a pistol. Retrieving game saves will have enemy landmines disappear (bonus!), and one time characters were seated in thin air while others were standing with their arms out like they are getting fitted for a suit. All in all just comical bugs.

The story seems good so far and plenty of side missions. Exploring the commonwealth is a blast as is the interactions with characters. VATS is slow mo now instead of paused which took some adjusting to. Makes it harder but I don't care for it as much. I also really enjoy the ability to modify weapons and armor significantly. You can seriously mod these guns. It has you picking up that junk we always left behind to use for mods and building your community which brings me to the next thing.

Building communities: this is controversial. New to fallout and it totally distracts from the core of the game. There are areas where it pressures you to help people out and build shit for them like build them housing, defense, food and water supplies, beds etc. This isn't necessary for the game but they make you feel like an ass if you don't help them out.

If you are into the sims or minecraft or something then it is right up your alley. You can have fun with it but there is a lack of tutorial on how to do it which is a pain in the ass. It could have been much more simplified than having to build a generator connecting a line to a power pylon that you build just to get lights to work. All while needing supplies that aren't directly listed in items. If you ignore all this then your fine but it can be to your benefit to set up trade stands and such. To each his own here.

The only other thing I didn't care for was they throw you in the game and give you guns and power armor right off the bat. Melee is utterly useless because you have the good shit too soon and so does the enemy. I was looking foward to the build up. Getting further into it you realize those guns you had early on suck balls and weapons mods are mandatory to have much better shit.

If anybody else gets it a thing to note is when you level up you get a point to spend on any S.P.E.C.I.A.L but just know that you can go down on the chart too not just side to side. A friend and work leveled up 20 times and started over after I told him that not knowing. You'll know what I'm talking about when you get in there.

All in all I'll be playing this most of the winter for sure. Just like anything else it has its ups and downs. This is not a game of the year by my standards but a good stress free time sucker that I'm enjoying.
