This is what totally pisses me off. Paying big money and for what? 50% of airtime is commercials. Its ridiculous.

I really noticed it when I started watching sports streamed from British channels. For example, in America F1 racing is on NBC sports and it has about 7 commercial breaks each lasting about 3 minutes. That's 21 minutes of live racing missed because of commercials. I now stream live from Sky Sports F1 with zero commercials. Only in America are live sports cut into with commercials.

The NFL is ridiculous. For every 3 hour game there is an hour of commercials, fuck outta here. AND you have to pay for NFL network to watch a bunch of games. LMAO. That my friend is why I stream for free. Give me fair value and I'll gladly pay. Try to rip me off and I'll steal from you as you try to steal from me. Corporate Cunts.

Got rid of cable TV a couple of months ago and haven't missed it a bit. We pretty much watch Netflix most of the time, and stream any live sports (thanks B!).

I need to look into a nice antenna for OTA local stations.

Even a cheap little indoor antenna will work if your close enough to the city. I'm about 20 minutes from downtown Sacramento and get all the locals except for PBS which doesn't bother me because they put all of their shows online to stream the day they air.

Bouncer, have you found any good sites that stream sports in high enough resolution. I am using that zune.hk site that you posted, but the quality of the picture is not that great, certainly not as good as cable or OTA.

For football they have an HD stream with an SD stream. Which sports are you talking about?

The other day, I was watching the Seahawks game with Dallas and the PQ was so so. It was OK on a laptop but when I connected an HDMI cable to my TV, the image was definitely worse than if I was watching a native telecast on cable. It was better than SD but not as good as 720p or 1080i or whatever the native broadcast would be.
