Gun ownership has increased, crime has been trending down for a while. Crime is rampant in a few major cities that also have some of the strictest gun control laws.
Keep using a statistic that doesn't tell the whole truth. Look at statistics specifically on mass shootings and you will see a very different picture.

Double standards everywhere. Firearm ownage is in the Constitution, don't like it gtfo.
Did you just bring abortion into this? Lmao.

I was going to ask the exact same thing. Instead I just left. To actually draw that comparison and have someone else agree, left me without words.

Any statistic can be skewed to back an opinion.

And abortion yes. You can turn a blind eye to one form of killing and in some fucked up way justify it, but get pissed about another. It's fucking sickening.

1 more confirmation that Ohio is indeed a southern state. You'd fit right in down yonder in Georgia.

Abortion as in like 7-8-9 months I'd see your point but sounds like your talking about formation of embryo type shit. To me that's just matter and DNA, not a living thinking human.

Not talking embryo. The 7 characteristics of life according to biology and 5 of them must be met to be considered life. Middle stages of development meet 5 characteristics yet middle stages are legal to abort. Even beyond that in the simple litmus test of knowing whether or not to pronounce someone dead is a heartbeat yet it isn't applied in the womb. Medicine has also shown life to survive outside of the womb at earlier development than ever before yet laws haven't changed to prevent a forceps from being shoved in the back of their skull.

But this depth of discussion is better served for another forum topic rather than this one. Since the discussion is about what to change in order to save lives this is just my comparison of what should be changed that people ignore.

                    • Besides closing the loopholes (in some states) on background checks at gun shows, what other laws should be put in place that will help to bring gun violence down? Seems like liberals say we need to have more gun laws but I have yet to hear any. Tell me what laws would have prevented any of the school shootings. And don't say ban all guns because that will not happen.

Again, explain the specific laws we should be implementing. And how do you enforce these laws on the criminals?? You think they will turn their guns in and won't be able to have access to them on the black market??

He is pounting out a sad fact. People care about what the media and politicians tell them to care about. Gun violence is the buzzword that everyone is hyper focused on. How about knife violence? Domestic violence? Vehicular violence? People are killed everyday and yet many think that getting rid of guns will solve all the problems in the world.

Maybe a psychiatric evaluation by a group of physiologist to avoid bias? The group would be like a jury with different views and opinions that have to come to some consensus. That's my bright idea.
