And btw, the service animal thing DOES apply to "restricted" breeds.

I'm sure those dogs as well have some sort of state certification that makes them just that, a service dog.Originally posted by Bouncer View Post"Because of federal fair housing laws, landlords may not prohibit a service animal or companion animal from living in the unit. Landlords may not charge the tenant extra "pet" rent or "pet" security deposit."
If that was the case, do you not realize every fucking person would just say...
"Dur hur, it's a service dog"....again, I feel ya pain but your choices are minimal

There is such a thing called an "emotional support animal" that is not the same as a "service dog" but the same rules apply.Originally posted by rado View PostI'm sure those dogs as well have some sort of state certification that makes them just that, a service dog.

It's California. The laws on on your side. If it were Texas or some other shit state, they would just come over in 3 days and change the lock. Play the game. If you are going to say that your dog is a service animal, then get her registered as a legit service animal. i think you can say you have anxiety and get the dog registered for being a support animal.

Thinking about doing this. They even have a doctor in their network that will give you the script over the phone. For a fee of course.Originally posted by M00chie69 View PostIt's California. https://www.usserviceanimals.org/?gc...T49xoCujDw_wcBBetter get a docIn order to prove that an animal is an emotional support animal, you may be asked to provide documentation from a licensed professional (doctor, psychiatrist, or other mental health professional) stating that the animal is an essential part of treatment for a disability. A landlord or business may ask you to provide a doctor’s note or they could deny you and your emotional support animal. All airlines require the letter.

1.) Eviction laws are pretty resident friendly everywhere. It can take months in Ga to get a deadbeat renter out of the property. You like to yap about a lot of shit you don't know.Originally posted by M00chie69 View PostIt's California. The laws on on your side. 2.). Legit service animal? Not really a thing. Bouncer can claim a service animal just like rich white women claim their little poodle is for depression. The apartment complex isn't going to see if it is "legit", no such thing.
Bouncer, get a copy of your lease and read it over. Eviction laws will vary state to state. The service dog animal seems viable, but I would still start searching for a new place to live. You don't want to live where you aren't wanted.

You are suppose to in my city, but I don't think anyone is going around the neighborhoods checking insurance polices. It was a feel good law, and if an attack happens then the city can prove that they had a law on the books. A CYA law.Originally posted by FrankTheTank55 View PostDo you have to have extra insurance when you own a pitbull?
