Not sure how it would be done but social media needs to be taken into consideration with background checks. So many people hide behind their computer/phone screens and that’s the one place red flags can be seen the most. It may be hard to be objective with this kind of review but it could help weed out the crazies.

When my son was 6 or 7 I couldn't wait for him to get to high school & play baseball which now he's doing but If I could homeschool him for 3 more years I dam sure would. Its just not worth it.

A couple years ago a friend of my wife said I homeschool because I know my kids are safe and I thought weirdo but it looks like she was right.

If its not a school its a dam church these idiots are targeting.

FBI knew about him but he was still legally able to purchase an AR-15? How do we solve this? Stricter background checks?

Your assuming he got it after he made threats...we don't know that.

How about an age limit on Gun Purchases? 25?

Then there needs to be an age limit on soldiers police and anything else like that.

I'm just thinking if the pattern of these school shooters is statistically that they are under 25 or even 21 then that would be a good starting point. I don't think you can rent a car for example until you're 25. (I was an idiot at 19 by the way).

For police and soldiers that would be an exception. They still coudln't purchase until 25 but they could be issued a gun for their duty.

So..go risk your life n get shot at...but your not responsible enough to go buy a gun for your self....die for your duty...but don't protect your home.....really?

It's not an age thing...look at Las Vegas...common. it's a mental issue.these people aren't right. There's has to be a way to keep the guns from people who aren't right. At the same time...my opinion...people who do stuff like he did and are reported should loose the rights to have them. You fuck up n don't follow the rules...you loose those rights. Simple. Of course that only stops them from getting them thru leagle means. All criminals will always have guns if they want them.they simply don't follow the rules.

I think anyone who apparently "loves guns" or has an obsession with guns should be put on some type of watch list. If you're posting with a gun on social media and showing it off and admiring it, then you own a gun for the wrong reasons.

If you are a hunter or have guns to protect your family, that's the utility to owning one, not because you love the gun the same way you love your sports car.

What if someone builds guns...customizes them..then they pose for a picture
..that makes them a nut job? I don't think so. Now if your threating people or things and talking violence with them that would be different.i agree.

                              Yeah that's a good point.

I'm just thinking I know some guys who really have a gun obsession, they love guns in an unhealthy way. I think this is maybe a sign. It would be like someone who's pro-abortion to say they "love abortions". Nobody likes abortions, but some people think a woman has a right to choose, even though it's ugly.

Keiser would you call hickok45 on YouTube a nut job? That old man absolutely loves guns but he's never hurt a fly. As a matter of fact he was a teacher for like 30 years. There are millions of legal gun owners just like him. They love their guns but have zero intention on hurting innocent people. Just because guns are a hobby and you find them interesting absolutely does not mean you are some kind of nut that belongs on a list.
