if you ban weapons we still have millions and millions of guns on the streets and guns last a very very long time. they are not like cell phones that are obsolete after 10 years. ammunition is actually very easy to make. so that would solve nothing.

you would only be taking the weapons away from legal gun owners which statistically account for like 1% of gun murders in this country.

I had to even look up what Antifa was to be honest. I had no idea really what the fuck it was. It stands for "Anti Fascism" and it's a bunch of dorks. I even went to and read their website and thought to myself that shit I'm considered Antifa myself. I don't want Fasism either, I don't think any of us on this site do, so by definition aren't we all Antifa?

The FBI was warned last month that Nikolas Cruz was an armed psycho who might shoot up a school — but it didn’t bother investigating, the agency admitted Friday.

“A person close to” Cruz called the agency’s tipline on Jan. 5 and reported the 19-year-old had a “desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts” and there was “potential of him conducting a school shooting,” the FBI said in a statement.

But the agency said it failed to pass on any of that information to its Miami field office, even thought its own protocols say he “should have been assessed as a potential threat to life.”

A little over a month later, on Wednesday, Cruz allegedly gunned down 17 people at his former high school.

On top of the FBI admitting to not following up on multiple warnings as recently as a month ago. It has now been confirmed that the police had been called to this kids house 36 times since 2010. Yes, 36 times! I'm sorry but not only is this a mental health issue but this is a massive failure of authorities to act. This kid had more red flags then any other mass shooter in history. He was not allowed on campus with a book bag because multiple rounds were found on his person prior to this event. Students, teachers, police, and FBI all had a crazy amount of red flags and when a few people took the time to report him the FBI couldn't even be bothered to pick up the phone. Holy Fuck.

It's absolute insanity that this kid was able to legally own firearms. Leave the second amendment the fuck alone, it is fine how it is. BUT, if you are a fucken nutcase as this kis clearly was you should absolutely NOT be able to own a firearm.

In September 2016, authorities responding to a 911 call from his mother, Lynda Cruz, reported they "saw no signs of mental illness or criminal activity and left without incident."

Why it matters: The police reports uncovered by Buzzfeed shed further light on the narrative that Cruz suffered from mental health issues, including ADHD and OCD, and that consistent warning signs over his disturbing behavior may have been missed.

The details:

From the September police report: "He has been cutting his arms, his mother said, to get attention, as he learned it from an ex-girlfriend. He has mentioned in the past that he would like to purchase a firearm."

But an on-scene therapist "deemed Nikolas to be no threat to anyone or himself at this present time."

From 2010 to 2016, police responded to the house more than 35 times over reports that Nikolas and his brother, Zachary, had threatened Lynda, thrown items, ran away from home and physically assaulted each other, in addition to other claims of erratic behavior.
