And "The Shit is never going to hit the fan" so don't be afraid. It's like not flying because you're worried about dying in a plane crash.
i don't hate Mexicans either. they are welcome to become citizens. but we can't just have open boarders.

i don't defend shitty cops who break the law but I refuse to shit on all of them as is the current trend.

if you own a Ferrari does that mean you want to feel like your a formula 1 driver? maybe you just like Ferrari's. that's how dumb your AR analogy is. why is an AR-15 any different from an M1 Garand? Why is it any different from a semi auto hunting rifle? do you know the difference?

P.S. Gun owners (who tend to lean towards conservative) don't depend on the police to "protect them". It's the liberals who will be up shit creek if shit ever hits the fan. They hate police and hate guns. What are these fuckers gonna do? Throw their starbucks in the face of the bad guy? lol. fuck outta here.

all i want is for car owners to drive with care and keep their eyes on the road instead of texting and killing people.

don't put gun owners into this group as if we are all criminals. i don't view you as a criminal because someone else kills people with their car.

as you well know, Rome, Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt were all great empires that lasted far far longer then the Untied States has existed. Guess what, they all came crashing down in chaos.

will it happen in our lifetime, probably not. but is there a chance.. absolutely. especially considering the divisiveness that is ever increasing in the country. look around the world scrum, chaos is reigning.

do i walk around thinking the world will end tomorrow. absolutely not. it probably wont happen in our lifetime. but having some type of preparation is never a bad thing.

you speak of firearms as if they have a mind of their own. you say you feel safe "staying far away from them" as if they are going to hurt you without a person behind that trigger. you know nothing of them and you fear them thus you have an ignorant view towards them.

Scrum, why would you think that we are scared?

Culturally you and I are very different. Did your family own firearms? Were you taught about the safety of firearms? Did your family take you hunting when you were a young boy? Growing up did you see your family carry? Like I said before, carrying is second nature to me and a lot of others. I have never felt the need to carry because I felt threatened or scared. When I get home my firearm goes immediately in my locked safe. I don't walk around my house with a pistol in each hand waiting for someone to break in. lol I know it's different than you were brought up but you're smart enough to understand these differences.

ignorance is bliss my brother. you are a smart guy and you know history. you know that even in seemingly very stable empires and nations have turned to chaos literally overnight. From Ancient Egypt to Rome to Ancient Greece to America itself in the days and weeks before the Civil War. If you know anything about the Civil War you would know that nobody saw it as a war that would last long and most thought there would be no blood shed even in the days leading up to the war.

it's not about being afraid. it's about being prepared to a reasonable level. if there is ever chaos and looting in your neighborhood and in your city you will have absolutely zero ability to defend yourself or your family. you are okay with that. you are okay with just hoping for the best. you have that right. but if shit ever does go down I guarantee you will see in that very moment before you are attacked how flawed your whole belief system was.

Why not just live and prepare for reasonable statistical threats. I mean, we are all going to die 100% anyway. Would our quality of life be better if we didn't go through it thinking and preparing for the worst?
I was brought up around guns. Almost all of my family members own and carry a firearm. Even my sister carries. It's second nature to me. Never once have I thought about carrying out of fear. Actually the complete opposite. I'm sure for a liberal like yourself that was not brought up around firearms, it is hard to understand. Yes, we all know you shot your dads bb gun one time. lol We get it no need to repeat that story. I bet most guys on here that own and carry would also agree they do not carry because they are afraid. But again like B said the media will try and spin that idea to meet their political agenda.

Liberals want to send the US into the Stone age with guns because they are too AFRAID that someone else will snap and shoot more people so apparently nobody can be trusted and we all have to give up our semi auto rifles.

You'd be better off preparing to get struck by lighting or for a tree to come to life and kick your ass like those trees in the Lord of the Rings.
Yup. Paranoia is real and people take it to a whole other level. I'm not down with that.

But being completely unprepared for anything is equally stupid.

The people that are anti gun and anti police better fucken pray nothing ever goes down. Lol
