I'm not disagreeing, the thread just goes all over the place - I've said it before, a fucking car is more dangerous than a gun w/the right person behind the wheel. But I'd rather take my chances in a gun fight (not you standing 100 feet from me full auto lol) but the more concealable weapons, being stabbed fucking sucks(can happen anytime anywhere, at least you can hear one bang and hope to gather yourself w/a gun blasts). Top it off with the fact it's almost always a personaly motivated and not often random attack so it will be planned out. Warzone scenarios are totally different scenario and I am no knife thrower so yeah, I'll stick to an awp and be a ghost :P.

Define expert, I know full well what an AK can do in the right hands. It's used because it is the gun of choice to spray and pray - again this goes to the motive of the attack + AKs are cheap as fuck.

Bro, frankly I am stupid as fuck, anyone who challenges me I tend to fight. I have no doubt that you would kill me in almost any scenario LoL. It's just that the second I give in I feel like that door is perm open and it just becomes easier and easier to slip in many areas.

Actually, if you read the entire brief you would see that 4 justices dissented from the decision. Read why, hint. What you quoted was one scholars opinion. At the time of the ruling the majority of justices had conservative views on gun control. There is, and has always been, politics in the Justice system. I could go on and poke more holes, ie some of the assumptions made in the briefs.

My point was never to say American don't have the right to a gun, its that we don't have the maturity for them. BigScott, Rockety, and many more before them can't even have a conversation on the topic without resorting to childish insults. It also stands to reason that this behavior does not end there.

As for your statistics they prove my point. There is no discernible decrease in crime because of guns, a point many gun advocates make in favor of them. Crime changes and occurs and a gun only makes you feel safer, when rarely does it actually make you safer.

What actual experience do you have being in a gun fight or knife fight ? Stop talking politics, that shit is always able to be argued. Are you all politics or do you have something that makes your words worth a shit?

They didn't dissent because they disagreed about it being an individual right, the dissenting opinions hinged on their views regarding states rights to enforce provisions that regulated the right to bear arms.

In other words the majority held that DC was violating the 2A by having such a strict ban on handguns. The minority disagreed and held that even though it was an individual right states should still be able to pass laws restricing ownership or carry.

LOL. AKs are not accurate they are not used by experts they are cheap easy to make and will shot every time you pull the trigger weather you clean it or not. That is why "most" people use them.

Knife vs gun. I would rather shoot you then stab you. as some one said stabbing is to personal, I dont like that. If I knew I was gonna get hit for sure I would take the knife over a bullet. Unless we are 1 foot away from each other I agree with Bouncer give me any of MY guns and you are dead if that is what I am trying to do. I would rather you have a knife then a gun if we are 3 feet or more away. any closer I guess I would want you to have a gun so at least I could try and grab it,lol shit either way it would suck ass.

For more information on action v. reaction and "safe" distances Google the term Tueller Drill.

In most cases someone can close and attack from seven yards or better before the majority of shooters can clear their holster.
