Restrictions and control has made the drug problem far worse.

There were plenty of alcohol busts during Prohibition when drinking actually increased..

I'm repeating myself at this point but America is very different from small euro nations, Canada, Australia etc.. They cannot be compared because the scale is so much different. Small scale does not always translate to full scale.

Our black market will simply manufacture guns if they are made illegal, opportunity for weapons trade and $$$ will explode.

So now you are saying we abolish all drug laws??

Is that all you can say. Why don't you tell me what the bigger picture is..

Drug laws take drugs off the street period. Over here and over there. No they don't fix the issue and yeh of course there are drugs available. The point is they do SOMETHING. Without these laws in place things would be a lot worse.

Does the criminal justice system abolish crime?

No but it sure as hell contributes to a more civilized society.

Unfortunately I think Scrum is right. Waste of time trying to argue with you knuckleheads. Your whole society is like an episode of Jerry Springer. I get stupider every time I come here. America is an embarrassment to civilized society.

For every one they bust 3 more pop up. There are literally hundreds of sources I could order from online not even counting the countless local sources at all the gyms in the country.

We spend an estimated 100 billion dollars a year on drugs even though they are all illegal.

I would just like to know what you guys are actually proposing.

Don't waste your time. Nobody in this country will propose or do anything. Because we are just different and nothing, not a single thing that has been tried anywhere else in the world and found to reduce gun violence will work here. :retard:

So we will continue to wring our hands and cry as we lurch from one gun incident to the next.

Think about steroids. Maybe over in Australia you guys have a harder time getting them, but in America its easy as can be. Our black market is much bigger because we are a much bigger nation. You can't take your rules and apply them to us. Again, fire cracker vs a nuclear bomb.

why are you so concerned with what happens here..your rights have already been taken away.. You used to have them but no longer do. WHY???? because of PEOPLE who didn't follow the law...that is sad in my opnion.I don't want to be in that position.
Ok so you are worried about self protection? Do you think the mafia has put a hit out on you? I guess you can never be too sure right?

Me concerned about what happens there? I'm not. We are having a debate on gun laws and I am contributing to the argument but I really don't care about Americans.

Also I don't consider my rights have been taken away. I'm not scared of someone breaking in and shooting me and if I want to shoot a firearm I can still legally do so if I choose.

I can understand if you are a gun fan or hunter. Gun laws in our country don't prevent this so maybe you don't fully understand gun restriction laws (at least in my country )

I also don't think gun control will totally wipe out your problems but I think it is the first step towards making some change. If you don't agree that is fine but at least come up with another solution.

So now we find out that this guy has been talking to terrorism suspects. Great.

    From the CNN headline article:

"The communications were "soft connections" in that they weren't frequent, one law enforcement official said. It had been a few months since Farook's last back-and-forth with these people, who officials said were not considered high priority."

So we knew this guy was talking to known terrorism suspects, yet we didnt' do anything about it.

I can predict how this is going to go. The head of the FBI will have the gall to stand up and say that this is precisely we need to be able to do warrantless email monitoring and phone metadata collection for anyone. The kind of stuff that has been ruled unconstitutional. I can almost guarantee that the drumbeat to put this NSA program back into place will commence any day now.

Which is precisely the OPPOSITE of what we should be doing. You don't discover a needle in a haystack by making the haystack 10 times bigger!!!! They admit as much in the quote above. They had so much data to analyze that they didn't prioritize the calls that this guy made. Unbelievable.
