You may want to read up on the battery life. I saw some complaints online but I don't know what people want. For me, I am rarely away from a charger, either at home, at work or in the car, so my phone is always plugged in if I am stationary at any of these 3 locations. I almost never dip below 25%, and with USB C, 20 min of charging gets you a ton of charge.

As far as the service is concerned, I have not found any coverage issues so far. It's been 4 bars or more everywhere in the city. Coverage should not be an issue for you since you are using Sprint already.

The only thing that I don't like is purely psychological. On my unlimited plan, I would just pull out the phone and browse, check mail, etc. all the time. If I had 5 minutes of spare while waiting for something to happen, I would pull out my phone (granted, sociologists may not find that very social behavior).

Now, with Fi, I am constantly wondering, ok, how much is this browsing session going to cost me in terms of MBs. Do I really need to check mail for the 20th time this hour? And see if anybody has posted on SM, even though I just checked 10 min ago? :) It is psychological, because that stuff doesn't cost much in terms of MBs, and you pay either way, either up front in the case of a traditional carrier, or by the MB in the case of Fi, but it is definitely curbing my phone use when outside WiFi range. Maybe that's a good thing. :)
When I look at my data usage the last few months, email, tapatalk, browsing use almost nothing at all. By far the biggest data killer for me is youtube on the treadmill. That's the only area where I can see being a problem for me. I either stop watching youtube vids on treadmill or I connect to wifi. But nah, email and tapatalk use nothing bro.

    • Then you are golden. Just try it for a couple of months and worst case, you are back on Sprint after that trial period. I think that at $199, the handset is a steal. $299 is a good price for the Moto X Pure, but $100 more? No way.

      • By the way, I checked and stopping Fi service is as easy as clicking a button on the Fi app. They will then give you a code for porting your number to another carrier, and keep your Fi service active for a week or so until the porting process has gone through. Sounds pretty straightforward.

        • Great update. Thanks Scrum. Looks like I'll make the jump to Fi after I get back from vacation. I'll finance the Nexus 6P from amazon.

For the record I average 3-4GB's of data a month, so we'll see what happens

          • Ran Waze on my Galaxy S4 work phone on my 20 min drive to work because I haven't has a chance to set up Waze on my 5X. I almost burnt my fingers picking it up when I got to work, dam thing was so hot. What a POS.

DNA, just so you know, I don't think Fi can be done with phones you purchase elsewhere. You have to purchase a 5X or a 6P through Google. So before you buy a 6P through Amazon, remember it won't work with Fi.

                          • Frankly, I have no idea how you big phone fans can hold one. The 5X is a half inch taller than my 2nd gen Moto X and it is already at the upper end of usability for me.

                            • Yea I'll have to see how I like it. Original nexus 5 screen is 4.9 inches. 5x is 5.2.

                              • By the way, the Doze feature on Android 6 kicks ass. I did admittedly light browsing, checking email, Tapatalk, etc all day using Wifi and from 8am to 7pm, my battery went from 100% to 60%. Not bad!
