It is NOT as easy as you would like to think. I've worked in the medical field for years, if the doctor isn't calling him/her self stating the patient needs to be seen ASAP, then it usually isn't happening. All you can do is call around, and asked to be put on a cancellation list.

every time i ever needed to see a specialist about anything i was able to get in within 7-10 days. If someone told me "a month" I would call the next one on my insurance list until I got in sooner.

In art of war's defense, it is next to impossible to even find a Doctor in Mass. with mandatory health-care, this state is all fucked up it is flooded with patients., I tried to get a new doctor and just gave up after 5 straight-up turned me down.

they were booked up as well - I've been leaving messages with most of the ppl now, half of the places are just operated machines w/call back time tables.

I've already called 4 - I just got back in touch with my primary and she said she will call today also and by tomorrow she said she will know if anything is available sooner - I told her expand the mile to up to 100 or more if it gets me in the door sooner, she understood and was cool about it.

and what did 4 of them tell you?

there are other specialist under your insurance plan. they just gave you one closest to you. go online and find all the specialist under your plan within 50 miles if you have to. call every one of them up and I am almost positive you will be able to get an appointment well before 3-4 weeks.

Another three weeks like this is getting risky for me, pain management is tough enough, lack of sleep and not really being able to hold food = cravings. In regards to it being earlier - about 4-5 months ago I had a bloodwork drawn at my outpatient clinic I was still on: my ALT values were in the 40s - you get clean and waboom your liver says fuck off - I've done a lot of reading about narcotics over the years, I am always on a harm reduction forum trying to spread around some decent info for others making the same mistakes or about to and don't realize it. I've read case study after case study of every type of withdrawal from every drug - top it off I'm a pharmacology nut. The bottom line is I can't figure this shit out to save my life lol - maybe viral?
