Don't worry too much about your diet on vacation - vacation is vacation and should be a break from your everyday life - I'm not saying you should pack on 20 pounds but just have fun and don't worry - hell if anything I lose weight on vacation....

The only way I can really make any progress gaining or losing is by sticking to a strict schedule - so rigid sometimes that it gets in the way of having as much fun as I usually would like to have - seems that's why vacations/trips out of town always end up with me losing weight....Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Posthad this discussion with my buddy today. everyone always talks about how they gain weight on a cruise. i lost like 5 lbs on my last cruise.

It's not going to kill you to get off schedule here and there if it's just a meal or two a week - much more than that and you lose the structure you need to make the diet a *habit* - don't stress too much over something like today BUT next time ADJUST your schedule for the entire day if you can so that something like that doesn't actually throw you that far off....Originally posted by NewbieChris View PostToday went well in my opinion. I ate an hour late for meal 2 because I was at the Franklin Institute and you can't have food unless you are in the lunch rooms. From there I ate every 2hrs 45mins, so 2:45, 5:30 (pre-workout). Just got home from the gym.

yea, and i dont know about you but if i have to eat like shit, (such as on like a cruise) it almost ruins the trip for me. i feel like absolute shit after the second day.Originally posted by fog_hat1981 View PostThe only way I can really make any progress gaining or losing is by sticking to a strict schedule - so rigid sometimes that it gets in the way of having as much fun as I usually would like to have - seems that's why vacations/trips out of town always end up with me losing weight....

Yep - and because of that I don't eat as much and I don't get as hungry - not to mention I normally try to give myself a break and just have fun instead of worrying so much about my goals that it gets in the way of the vacation itself....Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Postyea, and i dont know about you but if i have to eat like shit, (such as on like a cruise) it almost ruins the trip for me. i feel like absolute shit after the second day.

i have tried to, "just enjoy myself" but it really never works. you are so used to eating a certain way and have so much knowledge about how bad junk food is, you almost feel like you are poisoning yourself and that is hard to just ignore.Originally posted by fog_hat1981 View PostYep - and because of that I don't eat as much and I don't get as hungry - not to mention I normally try to give myself a break and just have fun instead of worrying so much about my goals that it gets in the way of the vacation itself....

Well I thought I would have this trainers diet by now, but I don't. When we talked on Wednesday he told me he wants me to replace a meal with something called Cytogainer. He wants me to use half a serving of that as my second meal. I like that idea because it is less time out of the day, but I would like to know what you all think. Regardless I am going to try whatever diet he gives me. Also, he wants me to take Zinc at night and drink a lot of green tea. Finally he wants me to up to 2 gallons of water!
This is what we spoke about Wednesday, I don't know what the prescribed diet looks like yet.

Post the entire diet when you get it along with your proposed workouts - I'm already a little skeptical - no trainer should be promoting supplements IMO....Originally posted by NewbieChris View PostWell I thought I would have this trainers diet by now, but I don't. Hey bro I am glad you are sticking with your diet, and looks like you started to make some progress. Ok I am gonna be litte rough here hope you don't mind it. When I started to read this post I was getting pretty mad at you for posting all your daily problems like your car overheating or in your third day not being able to stand the smell of the eggs and stuff like that, well guess what no body gives a shit they are all small problems it happens to all of us in our daily lives and they are no excuse for missing a meal or not trainging as long as you fix your food the night before and pack it in a cooler I don't care what happens you are not going to miss a meal peroid. Hell I have a buddy of mine he is getting ready to do a show in a couple of months and he just lost his mother to liver cancer last month and now he is more determined then ever, so just suck it up do it damn it.:)
Ok, I vented and I am good now!:D
Now your diet...I don't know your stats but it ain't no rocket science bro, just keep your protein in take at least a gram of per pound of your body weight(you can do 1.5 gram per pound if you want) and manupilate your carbs during the week add some healthy fats and you are good to go.
Again sorry about being so rough.

Take that, reverse it and finally understand where I am coming from...minus the 'poisoning yourself' part.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Posti have tried to, "just enjoy myself" but it really never works. you are so used to eating a certain way and have so much knowledge about how bad junk food is, you almost feel like you are poisoning yourself and that is hard to just ignore.
