try to get someone to take them for you -- and have them take them from the floor looking up at you -- pretty much from a judges viewpoint -

Just make sure you come in lean enough. I don't know how many times I see guys get on stage and they look like they are 4-5 weeks out. They take the size over the leanness and the leanness will win every time. Congrats on doing your first show natural. You'll do just fine brother. It will be a long 12 weeks but it's all worth it. I give props to anyone who has the discipline to diet that strict for 12 weeks.

If you have a chance post some progress pics a couple weeks from now. Would like to see you progress. Good luck brother.
I am shooting for a weight but if I come in lower than that with better conditioning I will be happy. Thanks for the encouragement!

Thanks bro - that means a lot coming from you.

However, you look like you have nice size to your quads, good lats, and pretty wide shoulders. Make sure to bring up your traps and outer chest.

Another thing -- not to scare you or to encourage AAS use -- but you will notice a difference in the physiques of those who use and those who don't. I'm not sure how big your show is, but in a big one that I did naturally, I was 5'9 and a middleweight. A lot of my opponents were 5'6 and in their 30s, and I was 24.

It's a wonderful road, though, you amaze yourself every time you diet for a show...good luck
Yeah - I'm not happy with my hamstrings, shoulders, lats, traps, chest and most of all arms! I am still a work in progress but I am anxious to see what I look like at 4% etc so I will at least have that experience under my belt.

I hadn't thought about taking pictures from the floor. That's a damn good idea - duh. THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP BRO...

In case anyone wants to know - House1 has been my mentor through my first few weeks and he has been extremely nice, patient and helpful the entire time. Helluva a guy....

hams are really tough...there have been people competing for years who don't even have a dimple in them. Sometimes I feel my own ham workouts are missing something. If your gym has a standing ham curl, try it -- mine doesn't have one. Also, I've read a lot about stretching your hams between sets helping their growth and developmen

I hate our standing ham curl machine. (in the voice of forest gump) "And that's all I have to say about that". :nerdnew:

                    I've lost 15 pounds now...

Alright - I am down to 189 as of 7a.m. this morning....

I am starting to like what I see in the mirror. I don't seem to be losing any muscle mass but the fat is melting. My pants still fit very tight on my thighs but the waist is VERY loose :D. I know that my waist is getting much tighter and 10-15 people at the gym said something about my DRASTIC changes to me for the first time yesterday.

I still haven't added in cardio yet but I am not ruling it out by any means. I will jump on it as soon as my body stalls out on my fat loss (I'm terrified of losing muscle mass with excessive cardio).

I am going to guess myself to be around 8%-9% right now (more towards the 9% mark).

Here is my journal for week 11. Today puts me 10 weeks out - yeah baby - ain't nuttin but a peanut......

I am now 10 weeks out - actually 9 weeks and 5 days (my last post originally said 12 but I figured it up wrong - it was 11 weeks out)....

                      Be nice but critical :D......
