It works best for me when I have the phone facing my face. Don't know if it has a face recognition feature or what. If I pick it up when the screen is dark and hold it facing my face, the display comes on immediately.

    • How's the WiFi calling working? Haven't used the phone as a phone a lot as nobody calls me :( .

      • No it's just a move sensor. You move the phone about 2-3 inches and doze screen comes on in black and white.

Haven't called anyone with it. I probably use mine as a talk device less then you. I hate talking on the phone.

        • Yeah, haven't played with the sensor enough. I know that with the Moto X, all I need to do is go wave my hands over the phone and the display comes on.

          • How is it so far bouncer? Did you already update it to the newest OS?

              • After almost a week with the phone, I've got to admit that pure Android is a joy. And that's coming from a guy who had a Moto X, which is pretty light. I can only imagine what it must feel for someone from a POS like a Samsung.

                • I've been laughing about how you two are awed by features that Samsung has already had like I laughed when iPhone finally got copy and paste. Basing Samsung opinions on old plastic hardware with poor tolerances and old bloated laggy OS that isn't even close to what it has been over the last year. Night and day difference. But go ahead and enjoy your new phones I won't blast, I'll just sit here and enjoy my "POS" and Lol.

                  • If you enjoy all the bloatware, then more power to you. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

                    • I make good use of some of it. The rest was hidden day one and never seen again. Out of sight out of mind.

                      • I like my software to be light and lean. I went from HTC to Moto to the 5X. Each is better than the previous one in terms of being very light.

                        • I used to be the same way. Pure Android. Then I found myself downloading all the stuff that came standard on other phones anyway and grew envious of features I couldn't have and haven't looked back since. That said the bloat on Samsung's OS has significantly decreased over time from internally in the OS as well as per installed apps. Now the carrier's on the other hand still throw their crap on. I will also say that I agree that Samsung's are overpriced as well.

                          • Something cool I like about Fi is that you can send messages and make calls from other devices over wifi.

So in my case I take my old HTC beater phone to the gym for music and use the wifi there. I can still make and receive calls and messages even though that phone has no sim. Just needs to be signed into my Google fi account. Works out pretty well so that my new nexus doesn't get beat up at the gym.

                            • So how do you like it so far?

And I don't understand what you posted above? How do you sign into your Fi account on your HTC?
